The MCE of the Adentan Municipal Assembly Mr. Alexander Daniel Nii-Noi Adumuah has invited senior citizens in the municipality to bring on board their expertise to help promote the Assembly’s socio-economic agenda to make Adenta a mordernised municipality. The Assembly according Mr. Adumuah will continue to engage them in pursuit of development. “It is my firm conviction that with all hands on deck we would reach the goals in development agenda that we have set for ourselves as a Municipality”.
He said this during a luncheon held in honour of senior citizens to mark the Republic Day celebration. Addressing the senior citizens, he said the Assembly depends on the regular and timely payment of approved levies to raise funds to meet our developmental needs.
He further assured them that assured them that the assembly will ensure proper use of resources mobilized to benefit residents.
“On behalf of our Municipal Assembly and on my own behalf, I wish to assure you that the Assembly would make judicious use of resources that residents, by the prompt payment of levies, make available for development”.
Some of the senior citizens shared their experiences and also recounted what they remember happen when Ghana went Republic.
The Assembly presented gifts to some of the senior citizens present in appreciation for their contribution that has brought the municipality and Ghana as a whole this far.
The senior citizens pledged to keep supporting the assembly and the country whenever they are called upon.
